Please review thoroughly before submitting your application.※ Company Overview A global automotive energy technology company developing advanced battery systems for electrified vehicles. The organization works closely with major automotive OEMs and international engineering teams on lithium-ion battery technology and product development. Position Summary Serve as a key technical interface between North American OEM customers and engineering teams in Japan for lithium-ion battery pack and module programs. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for requirements, development coordination, schedules, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle. The position is intended to develop into a future technical management role with increasing leadership responsibility. Key Responsibilities Lead technical communication with North American OEM customers regarding specifications, requirements, schedules, and development activities. Coordinate design reviews, technical requirements, change management, and issue resolution with engineering teams in Japan. Support lithium-ion battery pack/module development, including mechanical, electrical, thermal, and system-level requirements. Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, validation, manufacturing readiness, and product launches. Monitor technical deliverables, milestones, risks, and program schedules. Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and service functions. Support investigation and resolution of product and field technical issues. Mentor less-experienced engineers and contribute to development of the North American engineering organization.Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related technical field. 7+ years of engineering experience in automotive, battery, electrification, or related industries. Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and battery systems. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, thermal, and system-level engineering principles. Customer-facing engineering and cross-functional project coordination experience. Strong technical problem-solving, project coordination, and English communication skills.Preferred:
Lithium-ion battery pack/module development experience. North American automotive OEM experience. EV, HEV, or PHEV development experience. Knowledge of automotive development processes, APQP, and launch activities. Technical project/team leadership experience. Japanese and/or Chinese language ability. Experience coordinating North American customers with overseas engineering teams. Master's degree. Other Details Approximately 20% travel, primarily domestic, with occasional travel to Japan and China. Short-term training assignments in Japan may be included as part of technical and leadership development. Flexibility for occasional communication outside standard hours may be required due to global collaboration.Benefits
