We are looking for a technically proficient and detail-oriented System Engineer to support the pre-sales process for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Photovoltaic (PV), and Microgrid solutions. This role focuses on developing technical proposals, system configurations, and performance analyses to support equipment sales. Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions. Develop detailed technical proposals for BESS, PV, and microgrid solutions, including system architecture, control layers, product selection, and performance modeling. Design and specify MV equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and protection systems. Ensure high availability through redundancy design and rigorous reliability calculations. Support modeling of grid impact and system behavior under various operating conditions. Analyze system performance and degradation based on customer application. Evaluate grid interconnection requirements and ensure compliance with utility standards (IEEE 2800, UL 1741, etc.). Create preliminary single-line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and system configurations for utility-scale projects. Work with R D teams in Asia to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and product capabilities. Support responses to RFPs/RFQs with accurate and compelling technical documentation. Ensure designs meet customer specifications, site constraints, and applicable standards. Participate in customer meetings and presentations to explain system capabilities and value propositions. Provide market feedback to product teams regarding trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field. 3+ years of experience in utility-scale BESS, PV and/or Microgrid projects. Ability to travel up to 10%Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills and experience in customer-facing technical roles. Familiarity withUL9540, UL1741, IEEE 1547, NFPA
