Job Description

Senior Applications Engineer - Power & Electrical SystemsWe're looking for a Senior Applications Engineer to support complex electrical power solutions across switchgear, power distribution, and protection & control systems. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, customers, and project teams-ideal for someone who enjoys applying deep technical knowledge to real‑world power challenges. What You'll DoServe as the technical expert on electrical power systems, including switchgear, MV/LV distribution, and P&C solutionsSupport pre‑sales and post‑sales engineering, including system selection, technical proposals, and solution designDevelop and review single‑line diagrams, schematics, and equipment layoutsProvide technical guidance on protection schemes, relay coordination, and control philosophiesInterface directly with customers, utilities, EPCs, and internal engineering teamsSupport troubleshooting, FATs, commissioning, and customer technical questionsEnsure designs align with industry standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, ANSI) What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)7-12+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

Switchgear (MV/LV)Power distribution systemsProtection & control / relays / substation systemsStrong understanding of power system fundamentalsExperience supporting applications engineering, technical sales, or customer‑facing engineering rolesFamiliarity with tools such as ETAP, SKM, ASPEN, AutoCAD, or relay configuration software (SEL, GE, etc.)Strong communication skills and comfort working with customers Nice to HaveUtility, EPC, OEM, or manufacturer backgroundExperience with substations, renewables, data centers, or industrial powerPE license (or on track)SCADA or communications exposure Why This RoleHigh‑impact, technical leadership role without being stuck behind a deskExposure to a wide range of power applications and customersCompetitive compensation and strong benefitsClear path for growth into technical leadership or product management
