Omaha, Nebraska Position Summary:
Responsible for the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs on physical plant and building operations including boiler and chiller units to include limited work on electrical systems and equipment. Duties involve observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system's operation, adjusting controls to insure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet demands for the service provided, recording in logs various aspects of the system's operation, keeping the engines, machinery, and equipment of the system in good working order. Exhibits superior workmanship and focuses on a quality product. This job requires theoretical and practical mechanical and electrical knowledge. Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all tasks are accomplished correctly and safely. Ensures all tasks are performed in accordance with local Environmental, Safety & Health directives. Addresses customer concerns in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Performs preventative maintenance inspection on all equipment.Essential Functions :
Performs maintenance repair and troubleshooting for boiler and chiller systems and apparatus. Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and repairs in all assigned facilities. Supports the maintenance, servicing, and repair of low/high voltage and other associated equipment. May be required to conduct emergency services and repairs. Maintenance of Low-Pressure Steam and Hydronic Boiler systems with knowledge of required service equipment. Complies with all safety/environmental standards. Responsible for maintaining assigned tools and equipment.Physical demands:
Ability to continuously stand or walk, bend, squat, pull and lift up to 50 pounds. Performs other duties or assignments as required.Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent Shall be a citizen of the United States or shall be authorized to hold employment by the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Shall be at least twenty-one years of age. Shall be currently licensed in accordance with license is issued by the City of Omaha Permits & Inspection Division, Mechanical Section and is governed by Omaha Municipal Code Chapter 40, Article III- Boiler and Pressure Vessels Two or more years' experience in physical plant and building operations including boiler/chiller/pneumatic systems for medium to large facilities.
