About Our Client Our client is a leading heavy civil construction contractor with extensive experience delivering critical infrastructure projects throughout the New York metropolitan area. The company specializes in underground utility installations, water and sewer infrastructure, and public works construction for agencies including the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Department of Design and Construction (DDC), and other municipal stakeholders. Job Description Support project teams with daily field operations on underground utility and infrastructure projects. Coordinate construction activities with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and agency representatives. Monitor project progress to ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Assist with site layout, surveying, utility coordination, and quantity tracking. Prepare and maintain daily reports, field documentation, production records, and progress updates. Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Ensure compliance with project safety programs, quality standards, and environmental regulations. Coordinate inspections with public agencies, consultants, and utility owners. Assist with schedule management and resource planning to support project milestones. Participate in project meetings and maintain effective communication with stakeholders. Support cost tracking and productivity analysis throughout the project lifecycle. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. 1-5 years of construction experience in heavy civil, utility, infrastructure, or public works projects. Experience working on underground utility installations including water mains, sewer systems, storm drainage, or related infrastructure is highly desirable. Familiarity with NYC public agency projects such as DEP, DDC, DOT, or similar municipal clients preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and construction documentation platforms. OSHA certifications and surveying experience are considered a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment across multiple project locations throughout New York City.
