Columbus, OH Job Details Full-time $110,000 - $135,000 a year 18 hours ago Benefits Relocation assistance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Parental leave Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Teamwork Electrical engineering Continuous improvement Manufacturing Root cause analysis Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Position Overview Acculon Energy is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Systems Integration Engineer - Battery Systems to support the development, integration, validation, and commercialization of advanced battery modules, battery packs, and energy storage systems at the company's Columbus, Ohio engineering and product development facility. This role serves as a critical technical leadership position responsible for ensuring that battery systems, electronics, controls, firmware interfaces, mechanical systems, and customer application requirements function together as a complete and reliable integrated system. Unlike a narrowly focused component engineering role, this position operates at the system level and requires a strong understanding of how electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, controls, and manufacturing considerations interact within real-world battery applications. The Senior Systems Integration Engineer will work closely with engineering, prototype, manufacturing, test, validation, and customer teams to support new product development, troubleshooting, validation, customer integration activities, and transition to scalable manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for individuals who are highly technical, systems-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable solving complex multidisciplinary engineering challenges in a fast-paced product development environment. Core Areas of Responsibility System-Level Battery Integration Lead system integration activities for battery modules, battery packs, BMS, and related energy storage systems Ensure proper interaction between electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, firmware, and controls subsystems Support definition and management of system-level requirements, interfaces, and performance targets Assist with development of scalable and manufacturable battery system architectures Validation, Testing & Troubleshooting Develop and support system-level validation and integration test activities Troubleshoot complex system integration, communication, and performance issues Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities Evaluate and validate overall battery system functionality, safety, and performance Customer & Application Integration Support Work directly with OEM customers, partners, and application engineering teams to support product integration activities Support system-level compatibility with customer vehicles, equipment, or energy systems Assist with field support, integration reviews, and technical problem resolution Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and customer engineering meetings Cross-Functional Engineering Collaboration Work closely with: systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, controls/software teams, manufacturing engineering, and prototype/test personnel Support coordination between engineering development and manufacturing implementation activities Assist with transition of products from prototype development to scalable production Product Development & Continuous Improvement Support continuous improvement of battery system architecture, reliability, manufacturability, and performance Participate in engineering design reviews and product development planning activities Contribute practical system-level feedback to improve integration efficiency and product robustness
Pay:
