• This leading manufacturing and energy solutions client is seeking a Senior SCADA Integration Engineer to support its distributed energy and microgrid business.

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA and communication systems that enable real-time monitoring, control, and optimization of distributed energy resources (DER), including solar, battery storage, and generator systems. The engineer will work across utility interfaces, ISO market integrations, and advanced control systems to ensure reliable, scalable, and compliant energy operations.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Design and implement SCADA and communication systems for DER and microgrid applications
• Develop RTU configurations and integrate third-party systems and utilities
• Create control logic for grid-tied and islanded systems
• Produce engineering documentation (drawings, schematics, network diagrams)
• Configure network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls)
• Integrate and troubleshoot communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, etc.)
• Support commissioning, testing, and validation of systems
• Collaborate with relay engineers and cross-functional teams
• Provide technical support and develop user documentation
• Contribute to SCADA design standards and best practices

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Engineering or related field)
• Strong experience in SCADA engineering within industrial or energy environments
• Demonstrated experience with DER systems and/or microgrids
• Deep understanding of industrial communication protocols
• Experience configuring RTUs and network devices
• Ability to design and troubleshoot complex control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to break down complex systems into manageable components
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience leading cross-functional troubleshooting efforts
• Knowledge of embedded systems and IoT trends in energy systems

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $60.00
• $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
