12 Months Job Description Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Senior Engineer V with strong experience in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Line Design . The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead, performing structural and line design analysis for overhead transmission and distribution systems using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, AutoCAD, and PLS-Caisson . This is a hands-on engineering role focused on technical design, calculations, code compliance, and mentoring junior engineers. Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and design criteria. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on transmission line design and modeling. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering . Active California Civil PE License (Required). 7+ years of experience in Transmission and Distribution Line Engineering Design .
Strong hands-on experience with:
PLS-CADD
PLS-Pole AutoCAD Working knowledge of California GO95, NESC, and ASCE codes and standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PLS-Caisson . Experience with SPIDAcalc . Utility industry experience with companies such as SCE, PG&E, SDG&E, or other electric utilities .
