Job Description
•W2 ONLY, NO C2C
•We are seeking a Generation Interconnection Engineer to support transmission and generation interconnection studies for a large regional power system. This is a remote contract with potential for extension or conversion.
Responsibilities:
Perform and support generation and transmission interconnection studies Build, update, and analyze power system models Evaluate study results and prepare technical reports and recommendations Support multiple projects and collaborate with utilities, transmission owners, and technical teams Communicate technical findings clearly with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering/technical discipline 4+ years of relevant power systems, transmission planning, or generation interconnection experience Experience with transmission or generation interconnection studies Experience with power system modeling and analysis Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, and VSAT, or similar tools preferred Python, scripting, data analysis, or automation experience is a plus Utility, ISO/RTO, transmission owner, or consulting experience is a plus
Pay:
$55.00 - $65.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you currently located in EST or CST? Are you comfortable working on a W2 basis ONLY?
