Power Systems Engineer II Own impactful power system projects across diverse, high-profile facilities We're seeking a Power Systems Engineer II to take a lead role within a defined territory, delivering end-to-end electrical power solutions across industrial, healthcare, data center, and infrastructure environments. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on fieldwork with advanced analysis and design, while working directly with clients to solve complex power challenges. What You'll Do Serve as the primary power systems engineer for your region, leading analysis, design, and troubleshooting efforts across multiple facility types. Perform advanced studies, including short-circuit, coordination, load flow, and arc flash analysis , to ensure safe and reliable system performance. Conduct power quality testing and field assessments , diagnosing and resolving real-world system issues. Design and enhance low- and medium-voltage distribution systems , including grounding, protection schemes, and system architecture. Work directly with clients to present findings, recommend solutions, and support decision-making . Utilize tools such as SKM, ETAP, Easypower, and AutoCAD to model and document system designs. Lead or support onsite engineering activities , ensuring compliance with safety standards (NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA). Contribute to proposal development and project planning , supporting business growth and client engagement. What You Bring B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 3-7 years of power systems experience in industrial or commercial environments. Hands-on experience with power system studies and electrical distribution design . Working knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NFPA, and NEC standards . Experience with power system analysis tools ( SKM, ETAP, Easypower ) and strong technical documentation skills. Ability to manage projects independently , prioritize tasks, and work directly with clients. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations. Preferred Qualifications EIT or PE license (or on track to obtain). Experience in a consulting engineering environment . Familiarity with protection schemes, system modeling, and electrical layouts . Background in proposal development and client presentations .
