Role:
One Shot Automation LLC is looking for a talented and driven Project Engineer
•Ignition/SCADA Programmer to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge industrial automation projects, designing and deploying powerful SCADA solutions that make a real impact. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy Ignition/SCADA applications for industrial automation projects Program and configure HMI screens, historian, alarming, and reporting modules within the Ignition platform Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, databases, and third-party devices using OPC-UA, Modbus, and other communication protocols Perform system commissioning, on-site startup, and troubleshooting of SCADA and control systems Develop and maintain project documentation including functional specs, network diagrams, and I/O lists Provide ongoing technical support and system improvements for existing client installations
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) is a strong plus Experience with industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP Ignition Core Certification (or ability to obtain) preferred Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset Willingness to travel to client sites for commissioning and support as needed
