High Voltage Test Engineer Charleston, SC | Full-Time, Direct Hire | $100,000-$120,000/year + Bonus About the Opportunity Join a growing cable manufacturer as a High Voltage Test Engineer, where you'll provide technical leadership for high voltage laboratory testing and help drive the reliability, accuracy, and continuous improvement of our testing processes. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a company investing in advanced HV lab capabilities (650kV-3.5MV equipment range) and a strong internal growth path. What You'll Do Oversee electrical cable testing during production and prior to customer handover Perform high voltage testing including impulse testing, HVAC, HVDC, partial discharge (PD), capacitance, loss factor, and DC jacket testing Develop and issue detailed test plans and final test reports for customer orders and development projects Perform mechanical and physical evaluations on cable samples and raw materials Apply and maintain familiarity with relevant standardization and regulatory requirements for high voltage cables and accessories Collaborate cross-functionally in a matrix organization, coordinating testing activities with multiple stakeholders Travel globally to customer locations, conferences, and client facilities as needed What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university (required) At least 3 years of electrical testing experience in a manufacturing environment — strong recent graduates from top EE programs with credible power/power electronics research will also be considered High voltage systems experience preferred (impulse, HVDC, partial discharge, resonant generator experience is a strong plus) Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Comfortable working in multicultural, matrixed teams with a customer-focused mindset Self-motivated with a track record of working independently What We Offer Competitive salary ($100,000-$120,000) plus bonus opportunity Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, short- and long-term disability Paid vacation and holidays Flexible spending account Relocation assistance negotiable for the right candidate Real opportunity for advancement with a growing manufacturer
