PM Responsibilities:
As a Commissioning Specialist on our team in North Charleston, South Carolina you will participate in both onsite and office activities to support third party Owner Commissioning requirements on varying projects through the continental United Sates. You will have the opportunity to lead and perform all commissioning related activities to include testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance), equipment and systems start-up, resulting in a safe and functional environment that meets established design requirements and stakeholder expectations. You will be engaged in commissioning projects and have the responsibility of working directly with clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the owner/client with a focus on operational performance and efficiency.
Here's What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience At least 5 years of progressive experience in third party Owner commissioning/validation activities such as: Utility infrastructure, life safety, medium and low voltage electrical power systems, low voltage systems, building/facility systems/components, and facility O&M Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements Understanding of the Construction and Commissioning process Ability to understand and perform technical document reviews of NETA reports, Coordination Studies, and equipment startup forms Experience executing Functional Performance Testing for electrical systems Technical writing skills for reporting and development of testing protocols Interpersonal communication skills required to work with a diverse team of stake holders (client, contractor, construction management). US Citizenship Live within 50 miles from North Charleston, SC It is anticipated that you may travel up to 50% with travel expenses reimbursed at cost with receipt backup
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
Industry recognized CxA commissioning certification Minimum of 2 to 3 years' design experience in building systems electrical design Experience in industrial production and manufacturing projects Professional engineering license LEED or other sustainability certification Basic understanding of other trade disciplines (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, BAS) Familiar with cloud-based Commissioning Software (Facility Grid)
