Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior Power Quality Engineer to serve as the owner's engineer for power quality, dynamic load interaction, and power system performance across large-scale behind-the-meter power generation projects supporting hyperscale data centers.

This individual will not be performing detailed design work. Instead, they will lead technical oversight of external engineering firms, OEMs, and consultants to ensure power systems are designed, studied, and commissioned correctly while protecting generation assets and maintaining compliance with utility and interconnection requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience reviewing and challenging power system studies, working with generation assets and utility-scale electrical systems, and serving as an owner's representative during design, procurement, and commissioning.

Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesServe as the owner's engineer for power quality and electrical performance across hyperscale data center power projectsDirect and oversee external engineering firms, OEMs, and consultants performing power system studies and design workReview and validate power system analyses including:

Harmonic studiesLoad flow studiesShort circuit studiesProtective relay coordination studiesArc flash studiesDynamic stability studiesEvaluate interactions between gas turbine generation systems, large data center loads, and battery energy storage systems (BESS)Review studies related to:
