Electrical Engineering Full Job Description Job Summary:
AirCare Automation is seeking an ambitious and hands-on Automation Support Engineer
  • PLC & Cleanroom Systems to support the design, deployment, and technical operation of our cleanroom automation systems.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in controls, electrical systems, automation, HVAC controls, field service, or industrial troubleshooting who wants to grow into a well-rounded controls engineer. The position offers direct exposure to PLC programming, MODBUS/BACnet communication, proprietary controller hardware, customer-facing commissioning, and cleanroom system startup work.
Key Responsibilities:
    PLC and Controls Development:
    Assist with programming, modifying, testing, and documenting PLC software used in AirCare's cleanroom control systems, with increasing responsibility as skills grow.
      Field Commissioning and Startup:
      Travel to customer sites to support cleanroom system installations, verify automation performance, assist with system validation, and train customers on proper operation.
        Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
        Provide technical support for AirCare's proprietary MODBUS/BACnet fan controller boards and related automation products, working through field issues with internal engineering and operations support.
          Hardware and System Integration:
          Support setup, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of low-voltage controls, sensors, fan filter units, communication networks, and cleanroom automation components.
            Documentation and Continuous Improvement:
            Help create and maintain setup guides, wiring notes, commissioning checklists, support documentation, and lessons learned from field installations.
            Qualifications:
            • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, controls, mechatronics, computer engineering, automation, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent hands-on technical experience will also be considered.
            • Foundational experience with PLCs, industrial controls, BAS/HVAC controls, low-voltage electrical systems, panel wiring, automation equipment, or field troubleshooting is strongly preferred.
            • Exposure to MODBUS, BACnet, RS-485 networks, sensors, controllers, or embedded/automation hardware is a plus; training will be provided on AirCare's specific cleanroom control platform.
            • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work through technical issues methodically and independently in both office and field environments.
            • Professional communication skills and comfort working with customers, installers, engineers, and internal teammates.
            • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time for installations, commissioning, service support, and customer training.
