Per Hour Job Summary:
This role involves full ownership of steering wheel development from initial concept through to mass production. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to create innovative, safe, and high-quality steering wheel solutions. The position requires a strong mechanical engineering background and the ability to manage the entire product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage steering wheel design release across all product stages. Collaborate with internal teams to balance performance, cost, and mass. Oversee Tier 1 suppliers for development and timing. Support restraint system integration and CAE optimization. Ensure component readiness for crash testing and homologation.
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience in automotive product development. Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals. Ability to manage suppliers and drive technical solutions. This position requires experience within the automotive industry, specifically in product development related to steering wheels, restraint systems, or interior components.
