You will lead the transformation of prototypes into market-ready products by leveraging your expertise in mechanical design, process optimization, and cross-functional leadership to drive innovation and operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of new products, from initial concept and design lock to successful production launch. Fabricate and validate functional prototypes, troubleshooting mechanical and manufacturing challenges to ensure design integrity. Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly specifications. Design and implement efficient manufacturing workflows, including custom tooling, fixtures, and jigs to optimize throughput. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying root causes of production issues and implementing effective corrective actions. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) standards are met. Scale production processes by training personnel on new fabrication methods, quality standards, and operational procedures. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Proven proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360. Strong foundation in engineering principles, including tolerance analysis and material selection. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and coordinate across multiple departments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on technical innovation. Preferred Skills Extensive experience in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welding processes. Hands-on knowledge of motor controls, electrical systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic integration. Background in developing test plans, gaging, and validation protocols for new products. Over 10 years of experience managing the transition of products from design to market.
