Job Description
- End-to-end ownership of product design, feature development, testing, and user-driven iteration
- Assist in managing the development of innovative audio equipment from the conceptual phase through mass production
- Coordinate with other engineers, production, and QC staff for day-to-day operations
- Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to build 3D models and dawings
- Use 3D Printing Slicing Software to build 3D models and functional blueprints
- Maintain SolidWorks PDM and ensure product documentation is accurate and well organized
- Contribute to day-to-day manufacturing efforts, including commissioning of new production initiatives and upkeep of existing production endeavors.
- Communicate with vendors and certification agencies.
- Lead constant improvement efforts for current products, including control activities, failure analysis, process improvement, etc.
- Support and mentor other engineers and QC staff by sharing engineering knowledge, fostering collaboration, and helping build a strong, knowledgeable team
- Support sales network and end users by assisting with technical support and product recommendations.
- Other duties as assigned
Key Technical Skills:
- Experienced with SolidWorks or other parametric modeling software
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes, especially injection molding, electronic assembly, audio manufacturing, etc.
- Experience in audio/acoustics a plus
- Experience with AFMG software a plus
- Experience with Audiomatica (CLIO) or other acoustic measurement software is a plus Required attributes and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in acoustic engineering or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in product engineering, manufacturing, development, or a related technical role
- Strong interpersonal communication, cross-functional collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
- Demonstrates a team-first mindset, willingness to support colleagues at all levels, and a positive attitude toward contributing wherever needed to help the team succeed.
- Demonstrates a genuine willingness to learn, develop new skills, and adapt to new processes, technologies, and challenges.
