Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Product Engineer to join our team in Sutton, where you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and enhancement of innovative products. You will collaborate across various departments to ensure products not only meet high-quality standards but are also cost-effective and manufacturable.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Design:
Work alongside design teams to create manufacturable product solutions. Develop technical drawings and engineering documentation using CAD software, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Assess materials and methods for optimal performance and cost efficiency.Prototyping & Testing:
Construct and test prototypes, ensuring functionality and compliance with industry standards. Analyze test results and refine designs to enhance performance and user experience.Manufacturing Support:
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to facilitate seamless product launches and process improvements. Create and update BOMs, assembly instructions, and work guidelines.Quality & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address product issues.Project Management:
Oversee project timelines and deliverables, ensuring they align with strategic objectives. Participate in design reviews and product release planning.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a technical liaison between engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams. Provide technical documentation and support for sales and marketing initiatives.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in product development or manufacturing engineering. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems is advantageous.
