Key contributor for execution and compliance to the Stellantis Propulsion System Development Process (PDSP) for an assigned engine program with responsibility to summarize all technical inputs for recommendation and presentation to executive leadershipCritical approver for all technical decisions, timing plans, change notifications (CN's), bulletins, engine build books and service manualsResponsible for approval and execution of complete engine mechanical development/validation plan for all project phasesKey point of contact within company for all engine related issues for assigned projectsLead global cross functional teams from various department with expertise in various technical domains thru root cause analysis of issues and implementation of robust solutionsLead Design System Engineers (DSE's), Release Engineers (DRE's) and designers within the engine team in meeting program objectives for assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components with respect to cost, weight, performance, quality, manufacturing, timing, etc.
Lead cost reduction initiatives including supplier resourcing risk assessmentsAccountable to ensure adherence for successfully achieving all project commitments
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree fieldMinimum of 10 years of propulsion system related engineering and/or calibration experienceUnderstanding of phased gated launch processes for product developmentDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate to and prepare presentations for executive leadershipStrong cross functional team management skills along with superior written and oral skillsCandidate must be highly motivated, self-directed, and have the ability to manage multiple complex assignments simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in EngineeringThe Regional Chief Engineer is responsible for leading all technical aspects of base engine design to achieve customer requirements, functional objectives, and quality targets. Scope of work includes base engine design and development, NVH, fuel efficiency, performance, durability, and engine emissions.
