Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supplier Development Engineer to drive excellence in our supply chain and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will collaborate closely with suppliers to optimize quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will ensure that our suppliers meet rigorous quality management systems and regulatory requirements, fostering continuous improvement and innovation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence product quality and operational performance across a diverse supplier network. Duties Develop and implement supplier improvement plans aligned with quality systems such as
ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949
2016, andISO 13485
standards. Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and root cause analysis to identify areas for process enhancement and defect reduction. Lead initiatives utilizing Six Sigma methodologies and lean manufacturing principles to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce variability. Collaborate with suppliers on process engineering, process validation (PPAP), and product launches following APQP guidelines. Manage supplier performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and foster strong supplier relationships through effective communication and sourcing strategies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in quality management or supply chain are a plus. Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on quality assurance, quality control, or supplier development. Strong knowledge of quality standards includingISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, VDA
Mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in supply chain management, sourcing strategies, and lean manufacturing principles.
