Full-Time About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Product Development & Testing Engineer to join our team. This position will play a key role in developing, testing, improving, and validating new and existing products from concept through production. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, working with prototypes, analyzing test results, and collaborating across engineering, production, quality, and product teams. You should be comfortable moving between the design bench, testing environment, and production floor. Key Responsibilities Develop, prototype, test, and improve new and existing products. Create and execute product testing and validation procedures. Design test fixtures, equipment, and processes as needed. Troubleshoot product failures and identify root causes. Collect, document, and analyze test data to determine product performance and reliability. Establish testing standards, acceptance criteria, and quality requirements. Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Product Development teams. Evaluate materials, components, and design changes for performance and reliability. Identify opportunities to improve product functionality, durability, manufacturability, and cost. Maintain detailed engineering documentation, test reports, specifications, and records. Assist with prototype builds and engineering samples. Support product development from initial concept through production launch. Investigate customer or production issues and recommend corrective actions. Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations. Help develop and maintain engineering and testing SOPs. Ensure testing is performed consistently, accurately, and safely. Perform other engineering and product-development duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, or a related field preferred. Experience in product development, engineering testing, quality engineering, or a similar role. Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience working with prototypes and testing equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience collecting and analyzing test data. Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office or similar technical software. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team. Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing and laboratory environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with consumer, medical, dental, optical, electronic, or electromechanical products. Experience with product validation, reliability testing, and failure analysis. Experience with electronics, LEDs, batteries, wiring, motors, or small electromechanical assemblies. Experience designing test fixtures or automated testing systems. Familiarity with ISO, quality-management, or regulated product-development environments. Experience with 3D printing, machining, prototyping, or other rapid-prototyping methods.
