Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all engineering and technical assignments related to the product line.
- Provide product support to Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Accounting.
- Develop and maintain all engineered manufacturing drawings and related supporting documentation for the entire product line, including BOM's.
- Continuous improvement of product development.
- Support the Quote Engineer with generating quotes and purchasing requisitions for material and special-order components Will lead all new product launches.
- Interaction with Customer via email, phone, and site visits.
- Stay current with all federal code requirements.
- Provide input to production scheduling to maintain project schedules.
- Identify potential and existing problems and provide a solution.
- Closely work with shop personnel to ensure accuracy and quality of product.
- Closely work with cross functional teams such as Process Engineering, Quality, Production, and Accounting for execution of plans, process improvements and cost savings.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.
- Fuel tank experience required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks.
- CAD/CNC programming experience preferred, specifically
SIGMANEST.
- Experience in metal fabrication preferred.
- Experience with PPAP's a plus.
- Must be a strong leader and detail oriented.
- Capable of working in a team environment.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
