Minimum Requirements:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field 3+ years Design and Release Experience 3+ years of experience in CAD (CATIA, NX, CREO, or similar) The D&R Engineer is expected to understand and effectively utilize product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford's PLM ecosystem. This position is a salary grade 6-8 and ranges from $74,300 - $166,200. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value. Design & Release new and existing components/sub-systems Create & own the 3D models & 2D drawings for assigned components Lead sub-system Component Program Module Team (CPMT) activities Lead WERS (Worldwide Engineering Release System); alerts, concerns and notice processing Lead resolution of major design, manufacturing, program, and launch issues Lead management of Tier 1 suppliers Work collaboratively with CAE resources in support of the analysis on the design responsible components (Structural, Thermal, CFD) Create, complete, approve DVPs and oversee testing in support of robust validation Develop and maintain CPMT documents, including appropriate quality documents (FEDE, ESOW, DFMEA, PTDV, e3P, SCCAF's, Global Integrator, OPTIX, PPAP, 543 Chart etc.) for program specific sub-system responsibilities. Support all Program Meetings (EPMT, Design Review, DPMT, Change Control, etc…) Work directly with suppliers, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), and launch teams to support program requirements and resolve quality issues Interface with engine dynamometer testing team Interface with cross-functional teams, such as purchasing, mating components, calibration, & manufacturing Support prototype engine build Program Attribute Team (PAT) (BOM, inspection and prototype fit reviews) Support travel, both domestic and international, when required
