Extensive training provided during your first month and ongoing. Objective Partner with a Product Manager to successfully manage and grow the Drives & Motors product line in an entrepreneurial environment. As the product subject matter expert—with a heavy focus on AC/DC Drives, AC/DC Motors, Soft Starters, Line Reactors, and Filters—you will work with suppliers on all technical aspects of product development, evaluation, new product introduction, and lifecycle support. Responsibilities Leverage your experience and product knowledge to select and assist in developing the best products to grow the Drives & Motors line and meet customer needs. Own the product throughout its entire life cycle. Evaluate and test new products and technologies in a hands-on lab environment. Support products through new introductions, documentation, training, and second-tier backline support (strictly during normal business hours). Lead life-cycle projects to improve product quality or lower product costs. Conduct supplier evaluations, analyzing product offerings, technology roadmaps, support capabilities, packaging, and labeling. Participate in occasional, scheduled domestic and international travel. Qualifications Requires education in a technical discipline, preferably a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, OR at least 10 years of related practical experience. 7+ years of experience (10 years preferred) in the industrial control & automation market, OEM, or systems integration. Deep, hands-on technical proficiency with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Inverters, AC/DC motors, and soft starters across various horsepower ranges. Strong experience integrating drives into equipment/processes (conveyors, pumps, fans) using major industrial communication protocols (Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, etc.). Experience with agency approvals (UL, CSA, CE, RoHS, etc.) is highly desirable. Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) is desirable. Must be a self-starter who can manage projects independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively across cross-functional internal teams and external suppliers.
