Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- + Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid systems + Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical drawings + Generate conceptual schematic design of concepts for preliminary cost estimating + Familiarity with energy metering, performance trending, and data analysis + Calculate annual energy consumption of central heating/cooling plants and Combined Heat & Power (CHP) plants + Develop detailed saving calculations for proposed solutions + Generate 30-year life cycle cost analysis of new plants or modified plants including: financing, site growth rate, utility rate escalations, carbon offsets, equipment uptime, degradation, renewable energy credits, O&M costs, and incentives + Create comprehensive scope of work documents for use internally and externally + Perform root cause analysis and develop solutions for performance issues related to systems within central heating/cooling plants and CHP systems + Experience with air permitting and other environmental regulatory requirements + Engage in customer-facing activities and present technical briefings + Analyze growth opportunities + Review proposal activities + Develop and champion best-in-class sales training + Provide mentorship and coaching to younger or less experienced engineers + An estimated 30% travel will be required •
YOU MUST HAVE
- + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. + 10 years or more experience with central heating/cooling plants and CHP systems + Hands on experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, hydronic/steam systems, etc. + Professional Engineering (PE) license + Knowledgeable of ASME, NFPA, UFC, and international mechanical codes

- + Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
CEM, LEED-AP
+ Preferably experience with steam and/or gas turbine generation and thermal energy storage + Experience with traditional building HVAC and control systems + Ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships + Strong verbal/written communications skills (technical writing, proposal preparation, etc.) + Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements and future mandates + Familiarity with energy and carbon reduction project grants and incentive programs + Ability to achieve results through influence in a matrixed-team environmentBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL
