Job Description
Anchor Fabrication Smithville, TN Product Engineer Anchor Fabrication TN, a metal fabrication company located in Smithville, TN, is seeking an exempt salary Product Engineer to join our contract fabrication engineering team. The contract fabrication engineering team handles project management through all stages of product lifecycle for customer products: estimating product launch, process implementation, continuous improvement initiatives and end of life. The product Engineer is responsible for the integration of materials. methods, and tools necessary to bring products to life while ensuring production procedures are efficiently utilized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following, other duties may be applied. Communicate and review customer requirements Coordinate purchase component specifications, quotes & lead-times Prepare formal customer quotes and internal cost estimates Introduce new products and revisions into manufacturing Organize BOM's and manufacturing work center routings Review standard versus actual cost and develop an action plan for improvement Process and document engineering changes and requests Lead teams on projects Has the Authority and Responsibility to report non-conforming product EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE A B.S
Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university, preferably in mechanical or industrial engineering technology. Experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. Three (3) years' experience in the sheet metal industry is a plus. CAD/SolidWorks modeling experience Advanced Blueprint Reading skills Third-angle projection Read and interpret customer specifications. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) ERP system experience Effective communication, reasoning, interpersonal skills, motivation, and knowledge of manufacturing operations a plus. Mechanically adept, self-motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize work is a must. Anchor Fabrication is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
