Austin, TX Multiple Openings Duties:

Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. Perform definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development. Influence technical decisions that have a significant impact on multiple products or product lines. Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Collaborate with design, validation, and architecture teams for content coverage, test pattern development, validation, and debugging. Develop test program infrastructure incorporating latest Best-Known methods. Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues. Work with cross-functional teams including engineers to develop ASIC/layout design, working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of or wide-ranging experience with computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Requirements:

Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Management, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering or product development role. Position requires experience in the following: Performing hardware and software verification; Developing validation plans for semiconductor products; Product development cycles for semiconductor products; CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture; Scripting with C, C++, or Python; Embedded drive development; and Tableau.
