The Product Engineer is responsible for managing boiler orders with regards to accuracy, timeliness, manufacturing efficiencies, manufacturing support, and customer satisfaction. The Product Engineer will develop and improve the processes of accepting, entering and processing boiler orders as received in a manner that is consistent with the Company values and operating philosophy.ACCOUNTABILITIES
Customer Orders- Reviews and approves purchase order, specifications, acknowledgement, and drawings for the customer and production as required by the production timeline. Ensures that all drawings conform to best engineering practices and any applicable code requirements. Identify and specify components any special order parts that need to be purchased to fulfill the requirements of the order. Vendor Management
- Works closely with supply chain to ensure all purchased parts are specified correctly and delivered in a timely fashion. Resolve issues pertaining to supply and identify substitutes. Technical Support
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, and perform in-process and final inspections. Provide technical support for aftermarket functions, including support for installation, service, and providing any required literature or documentation. Customer Support and Satisfaction
- Act as a liaison between manufacturing and the customer, communicating with the customers as needed to resolve technical issues and commercial issues. Documentation
- Ensure that proper documentation is obtained, saved in the job file, and provided to the customer.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Certifications and Required Experience): Engineering Degree or Technical Degree Preferred Project Management Experience Knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Design PrinciplesDEMONSTRATED CRITICAL COMPETENCIES
