Job Requirements Linthicum Heights, MD Secret Polygraph not specified Mid Level Career (5+ yrs experience) $150,000 - $220,000 Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical defense program with a defense contractor focused on next-generation radar, target tracking, and sensor fusion capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to advanced airborne sensor systems that support the U.S. military and the warfighter. The selected candidate will help develop, integrate, and enhance multi-function RF sensing technologies used to detect, track, and identify threats in complex operational environments. The work spans the entire system lifecycle, from requirements definition and performance analysis through integration, testing, and deployment on advanced airborne platforms. If you have experience with radar systems, RF signal processing, target tracking, sensor fusion, or advanced defense technologies, this is an opportunity to support mission-focused programs that have a real-world operational impact. Responsibilities Support the development and integration of advanced radar, sensor fusion, and target tracking systems. Analyze sensor performance and evaluate system effectiveness using modeling, simulation, and real-world test data. Develop parametric models, visualizations, and data-driven analyses to support system requirements and design efforts. Maintain and improve existing tracking, sensor fusion, and adaptive processing algorithms. Support integration efforts across simulation environments, laboratories, and airborne test platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure systems meet performance requirements. Interpret and utilize Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and other technical documentation. Participate in system verification, validation, and performance assessments. Engage with government stakeholders and program teams to balance operational needs and technical requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related technical field with 8+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 6+ years of experience OR PhD with 4+ years of experience Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) approval Experience with one or more of the following: Multi-target tracking Sensor fusion Adaptive processing algorithms Experience using MATLAB or similar modeling and analysis tools Experience supporting RF systems, radar systems, or RF signal processing applications Working knowledge of systems engineering principles, integration, testing, and requirements management Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Active Top Secret Clearance Previous SAP access or experience supporting classified programs Master's Degree or PhD in: Electrical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Applied Physics Signal Processing Radar Systems Related STEM disciplines Experience with radar techniques, tracking algorithms, or sensor processing technologies Familiarity with C++ for analysis and algorithm support group id: 10112344 Apply now
