Full-Time About the Role We is seeking an In-Building
RF / DAS
Design Engineer to lead the design and optimization of Distributed Antenna System (DAS) and In-Building Wireless (IBW) solutions across a range of venue types, including stadiums, airports, hospitals, and commercial buildings. This role owns the technical design lifecycle from RF layout through link budget analysis, prediction modeling, and bill of materials development, and plays a hands-on role in field validation and RF optimization. Key Responsibilities Design DAS and IBW solutions for large and complex venues, including stadiums, airports, hospitals, and commercial buildings Produce complete iBwave design packages, including RF layouts, link budgets, coverage/interference prediction plots, and bills of materials (BOMs) Lead redesign and remediation efforts on existing multi-sector DAS deployments, identifying and resolving design and coverage issues to meet or exceed carrier RF performance standards (e.g., SINR, RSRP) Perform CW testing, RF benchmarking, and post-deployment optimization to validate design performance against acceptance criteria Collaborate with field engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure designs are constructible, code-compliant, and aligned with project timelines Interface with carrier RF engineering teams to review, validate, and gain approval of design packages Troubleshoot RF performance issues in the field and revise designs based on walk test and CW data Maintain design documentation and version control across multi-phase projects Required Qualifications 6+ years of experience in RF engineering, DAS/IBW design, or in-building wireless network design Proficiency in iBwave Design software (RF layout, prediction modeling, BOM generation) Working knowledge of link budget analysis, RF propagation principles, and multi-carrier/multi-band DAS architectures Experience with CW testing, walk testing, and RF benchmarking tools Demonstrated experience designing for large, complex venues (stadiums, airports, hospitals, or similar high-density environments) Ability to read architectural and construction drawings (CAD/Bluebeam) to inform RF design Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving design issues at scale Willingness to travel to venue sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with active DAS platforms (e.g., CommScope, JMA, Corning, SOLiD) and passive DAS components Familiarity with public safety DAS (ERRCS) code requirements (NFPA/IFC) Carrier RF approval experience (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile in-building design review processes) Experience supporting neutral host or multi-carrier venue deployments Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Tools & Software iBwave Design, AutoCAD/Bluebeam, CW testing equipment, spectrum analyzers, Microsoft Office/Excel Travel Regular travel to project sites required; frequency varies by project phase and venue type.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $840,000.00 per year
