- Perform testing and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, layouts, test plans, and engineering documentation.
- Assemble, configure, and test high‑power RF subsystems, including RF generators, matching networks, sensors, and interconnects.
- Conduct operational testing and fault isolation at the system, subsystem, and component levels across electrical, RF, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Diagnose and debug failures down to the PCBA and component level, including SMD rework as required.
- Inspect materials, components, and products for defects using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscopes, and standard procedures.
- Measure circuitry and verify performance using oscilloscopes, VNAs, signal generators, RF power meters, DMMs, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Determine and assist in implementing methods to remedy malfunctions and improve system performance and reliability. Engineering & Prototype Support
- Collaborate with development engineers in the creation, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes and engineering models.
- Support hardware bring‑up, board‑level validation, and system integration activities.
- Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including prototype builds, pilot runs, and validation testing.
- Provide feedback on design for manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and testability based on hands‑on findings. ## What you'll do (continued) Lab Operations & Safety
- Support RF and engineering lab operations, including testbed setup, system racking, cabling, and configuration.
- Maintain lab equipment, tools, and instrumentation, including calibration tracking and lifecycle management.
- Ensure safe operation of high‑voltage and high‑power RF systems in compliance with EHS, ESD, and lab safety requirements.
- Maintain organized lab workspaces, inventory control, and proper handling of engineering samples and prototype hardware. Documentation & Communication
- Document test results, failure analysis, corrective actions, and validation data using standard reporting tools.
- Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, QA, and operations teams to support development and release milestones.
- Utilize computer‑based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office tools to support testing and reporting activities. ## Who we're looking for
- 6+ years of related hands‑on experience in testing, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, or repair of electronic, RF, or electromechanical equipment.
- Demonstrated firsthand experience performing system‑ and component‑level diagnostics and fault isolation.
- Proficiency using electronic and RF test and diagnostic equipment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient with computer‑based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to work flexible schedules as required to support engineering activities. ## Preferred qualifications
- Associate's degree, technical certificate, diploma, or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience with high‑power RF systems, RF matching networks, and sensors.
- Background in lab operations, metrology, prototype development, or R D engineering support.
- Semiconductor equipment experience (etch, deposition, or related systems) strongly preferred.
