Job Title:
RF Systems Engineer Job Description Design radio communication systems for human spaceflight modules, calculate RF link budgets, and analyze system performance. Coordinate integration of communication components with spacecraft and ground hardware/software. Lead functional and integration testing of radio communication components and perform Radio Frequency interference and compatibility analysis for communication systems. Responsibilities Design and develop radio communication systems for human spaceflight modules. Calculate RF link budgets and analyze system performance to ensure optimal functionality. Coordinate the integration of communication components with both spacecraft and ground hardware/software. Lead functional and integration testing of radio communication components. Perform Radio Frequency interference and compatibility analysis. Essential Skills Proficiency in RF and radio frequency systems. Experience in radio system integration. Expertise with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters. 7+ years in radio systems design and testing. Experience with data protocols. Aerospace experience. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or RF Design. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in RF integration and testing. Experience with aerospace and spaceflight projects. Work Environment You will be part of an Avionics team led by a team leader, working with a group of over 20 engineers. You will also collaborate with a larger station project team consisting of more than 200 professionals. This role offers the opportunity to work on the first privatized commercial space station. The position includes a 12-month contract-to-hire arrangement, with two weeks of paid time off and holidays, along with competitive pay. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
