Job Description:
Actalent Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled RF Test Engineer who will be responsible for testing, executing, and improving test solutions for radio frequency and microwave products, subsystems, and assemblies. This role supports product development, characterization, validation, production test, and failure analysis of RF hardware. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and has deep experience bringing hardware from concept to flight-ready maturity. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute RF test plans, procedures, and test cases for components, modules, and systems Perform RF measurements and setup RF measurements and fixtures.
Setup RF measurements and fixtures:
Automate bench measurements using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools Design and maintain test scripts, data logging tools, and report generation workflows Troubleshoot RF test setups, fixtures, cables, adapters, and measurement errors Correlate lab results with simulation and design expectations Support design verification, qualification, and production release testing Analyze failures and drive root-cause investigations for RF performance issues Maintain calibration awareness and measurement uncertainty discipline Create clear documentation for test procedures, results, and engineering reports Support environmental, thermal, and stress testing as required Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related field 3+ years of Experience in RF/microwave testing, characterization, or validation Experience with using RF lab equipment such as VNA/Vector Spectrum-Analyzer/Vector Signal Generator/and Oscilloscopes Familiarity with test automation and scripting such as Python Ability to read schematics, block diagrams, and datasheets Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Good written and verbal communication skills This position requires access to export?controlled technical data. Under U.S. export?control laws (ITAR/EAR), authorization may be required for individuals who are not U.S. persons as defined by 22 CFR 120.62. The company will seek necessary authorizations as required Preferred Qualifications Experience with mmWave, microwave, or high-speed mixed-signal systems Experience with production test development and manufacturing support Knowledge of SCPI control, PXI/VXI systems, or automated test systems Experience with tools such as MATLAB, Python, ADS, HFSS, CST, or similar CAD tools Understanding of calibration methods such as SOLT, TRL, and de-embedding Experience with environmental or thermal RF testing Support bring-up of new hardware during prototype and production phases At Actalent Services, LLC, we empower engineers to do their best work.
