Role Summary:
Purpose of the
Team:
The purpose of this team specifically focuses on wireless (radio) testing, meaning they validate: Radio connections, Wireless performance and behavior of devices
Key Responsibilities:
Perform module- and system-level wireless (RF) testing, focusing on multi-radio coexistence (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, controllers) in real-world environments Execute RF testing using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and automated test systems Conduct system-level testing including throughput (RvR), interoperability, wireless display (Miracast), and stability/reconnect scenarios Configure and provision Windows devices, install apps/drivers, and run test scenarios using tools like iPerf Debug issues using logs, packet captures, and wireless sniffers (Ellisys, Omnipeek, Wireshark) Develop and execute test plans for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi coexistence, including latency, QoS, and audio performance Analyze RF behavior including antenna isolation and coexistence strategies Collaborate with engineers and vendors to troubleshoot and improve performance Support testing in lab environments (shielded rooms, chambers) and off-site locations
MUST HAVES
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related experience preferred Hands-on experience with RF equipment, cables, connectors, and PCBs Experience with Vector signal analyzers, Network analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, Vector signal generators Familiarity with protocol testers (CMW, CMX, Anritsu) Experience with sniffing tools such as Ellisys, Omnipeek, Wireshark, Litepoint IQsniffer Experience with automated RF test systems Experience with running scripts, parsing, and plotting data Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Excel macros, batch scripting Experience with Wifi 7 access points, routers, firewalls, packet analysis tools
Disqualifiers:
Candidates with who are too software-oriented or come from cell phone-focused RF backgrounds, as they typically don't match the team's needs in wireless hardware testing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
