Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Gas Turbine Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona . Overview This role involves conducting evaluations on engine components and systems, performing advanced analyses, and collaborating with global teams to enhance manufacturing processes and design reliability in the gas turbine industry. Responsibilities Conduct evaluations on fan components and systems supporting production, supplier transition, and value engineering initiatives. Perform 3D finite element thermal, stress, modal analyses, and other engineering evaluations to assess durability and performance. Review analysis outputs, create statements of work, and effectively communicate with manufacturing personnel, suppliers, and customers. Support process transformation initiatives to reduce design and manufacturing costs and cycle times. Work with local and global analysis teams to ensure engineering requirements are met and maintained during production. Participate in design change processes, supplier substantiation, and quality reviews. Perform complex calculations and provide problem-solving guidance based on engine design and manufacturing knowledge. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area Strong drawing interpretation skills, including GD&T Knowledge of gas turbine engine design, manufacturing processes, and industry standards Experience with finite element analysis (ANSYS or equivalent), 3D modeling (CAD), and GOM analysis Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
