Engineer III Hybrid, within service territory:
OH, PA, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL

Your role in our success will be… The Engineer III oversees the design, development, and management of natural gas pipeline and station projects independently. This job will collaborate with cross functional teams including project management, construction, and operations, ensuring compliance with design codes (CFR, FERC, PHMSA, DOT, etc.), and facilitate effective decision-making. Responsibilities involve developing calculations, equipment specifications, requisitions, sketches, and drawings. Additionally, managing permit applications, reviewing contractor proposals, and producing construction drawing packages. Focusing on station, pipeline, compressor, and interconnect projects of high complexity ranging from $40-$80MM, this position will contribute to the successful execution of natural gas infrastructure initiatives. What you'll be working on… Develops and manages the design of natural gas pipeline, station, LNG, compressor, and interconnect projects, including development of schedule and scope Determines calculations, equipment specifications, requisitions, sketches and drawings for projects; specify and order pipe, valves and equipment and compare equipment quotes. Develops project proposals and assist with contractor proposal review and selection. Possesses and applies strong knowledge of the natural gas design codes Works with project team including, Project Management, Construction and Operations while monitoring the engineering design progress Applies strong knowledge of project permitting requirements for Federal, State, and local permits. Leads engineering meetings with internal stakeholders. Oversees multiple projects of high complexity concurrently. Develops Engineering scoping documents. Leads engineering meetings with external stakeholders. Reviews other engineering designs as needed for accuracy. Assists with the development of department training materials. Assists with department process enhancements.Who you are:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Seven (7) years in a similar capacity Valid Driver's License Professional Engineer (PE) License Solid understanding of Engineering Principles as well as construction, maintenance and operations Proficient in general business principles including Microsoft Office Suite Ability to review engineering plans and understand permit requirements. Ability to train and mentor Engineer I and Engineer II level associates. Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues and to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on a short-term basis. Ability to make decisions which have impact on both the work unit and department. Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines. Ability to complete routine forms and conduct routine verbal communication. Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports and to verbally communicate technical information. Ability to communicate with customers utilizing the telephone. Ability to make informal presentations, inside and/or outside the organization. Speaking before groups. Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, and make presentations outside the immediate work area. Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive documents, authoritative reports, and official publications which have significant impact on the enterprise. Makes formal presentations inside and outside the organization. Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.
