Key Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate, assist, and/or perform engineering activities relative to the design, operation, and maintenance of company pipeline and storage systems and related facilities. Assist with project coordination among area regions, departments (Customer Development, Operating, and Customer Services), and contractors including but not limited to: Bid proposals and contracts Line extensions Construction and/or relocation projects Provide technical and/or engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and others on matters including but not limited to: Meter and regulator settings Equipment/system design Pipeline sizes Pipeline modeling Database analyses Growth planning Emergency valve isolation plans for pipeline systems Policies and procedures Review, summarize, and assist in preparation of information including but not limited to: Engineering studies Pipeline bid proposals Construction contracts Status/activity reports Job orders Purchase requisitions Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering required Experience In addition to education, this role typically calls for up to two years of relevant professional experience. Working knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations. Demonstrated ability with application of math, algebraic formulas, calculus, and statistics. Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and software such as AutoCAD, Stoner, Excel, Access, and/or other relevant software.

Interpersonal/communication skills Customer services field policies and procedures Transmission/distribution pipeline operations Company/governmental operating and safety procedures Line extension and relocation policies and procedures Demonstrated ability to identify, research, evaluate, and prioritize problems or specific situations and coordinate appropriate action/response. Demonstrated ability to research and prepare pipeline construction contracts, pipeline capacity lease (PCL) requests, budget projects, job orders, material requisitions, engineering studies, and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, charts, surveys, load studies, and various reports and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to interact, negotiate, advise, and communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to develop information and make presentations to groups and individuals. Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English. Licenses and Certifications Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred. Applicable driver's license required. Additional Requirements Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out of doors. Able to operate tools and equipment required. Communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations. Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties. This job description is meant as a guideline for employees of ONE Gas, Inc.
