Full-Time | Direct Hire Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Steam Turbine Engineer - Power Senior/Staff to provide senior-level technical expertise for major gas compression and power generation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with steam/gas turbines, rotating equipment, generators, controls, and power generation within the natural gas or petrochemical industry. This position will independently support complex projects, evaluate equipment performance, develop engineering solutions, and provide technical guidance to engineering and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Perform technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, engineering design, construction support, and research. Serve as a technical subject matter expert in steam turbines, gas turbines, rotating equipment, and reciprocating equipment. Support major gas compression and power generation projects. Evaluate turbine, generator, and rotating equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance requirements. Develop and improve engineering standards, procedures, policies, and maintenance practices. Analyze generators rated 5 MW and larger , including vibration, equipment health, transient loading, and generator protection. Provide technical recommendations and guidance to management and engineering teams. Prepare and present technical information to internal stakeholders. Mentor and provide technical direction to engineers and support staff. Understand and modify control logic across various control platforms. Apply knowledge of turbine, package, and generator control technologies. Develop practical engineering solutions based on customer and operational needs. Collaborate with internal teams to maintain safety, engineering, and operational standards. Monitor project costs, schedules, resources, and technical requirements. Support continuous improvement and engineering best practices. Required Qualifications - Senior Level Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related engineering field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. 8+ years of engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry. Strong experience with rotating equipment and turbines. Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard PC applications. Strong commitment to safety. OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 7+ years of engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry. Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification. Required Qualifications - Staff Level Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related engineering field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. 15+ years of engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry. Demonstrated expertise in rotating equipment, turbines, generators, and related systems. Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong commitment to safety. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard PC applications. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Project management experience. Experience with gas compression and power generation projects. Experience with turbine and generator controls. Experience with generator performance, vibration, reliability, and protection systems.
