Our internship program is designed to provide students with meaningful, hands-on experience for professional growth and development. We're seeking motivated and high-performing students to join our Engineering team for Summer 2027 in Austin, TX, focusing on pipeline projects to bring natural gas utility service to new subdivisions and developments. This hybrid internship offers a dynamic blend of in-office and remote work, giving interns exposure to real-world engineering functions, processes, and field operations. Interns will work on impactful projects, collaborate with professionals across departments, and participate in networking events with peers and company leadership. What You Will Need Ideal candidates are: Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering , preferably graduating in December 2027 or May 2028 . Enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin or Texas A&M University . Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher . Involved in extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles. Experienced through prior internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work. Excel at cross-functional collaboration, have strong communication skills, enjoy solving complex design challenges, and have a track record of delivering practical, business-friendly solutions.Recruitment Timeline Applications Open:

40 hours per week What You Will Do Coordinate, assist, and/or perform engineering activities relative to the design, operation, and maintenance of company pipeline and storage systems and related facilities. Help with project coordination among area regions, departments (Customer Development, Operating, and Customer Services), and contractors including: Bid proposals and contracts Line extensions Construction and relocation projects Provide technical and/or engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and others on matters including but not limited to:- Meter and regulator settings
- Equipment/system design
- Pipeline sizes
- Pipeline modeling
- Database analyses
- Growth planning
- Emergency valve isolation plans for pipeline systems
- Policies and procedures Review, summarize, and assist in preparation of information including but not limited to:
- Engineering studies
- Pipeline bid proposals
- Construction contracts
- Status/activity reports
- Job orders
- Purchase requisitions
