Monday - Friday | Bonus opportunities available About the Role We are a small, active, independent oil and gas exploration company seeking an experienced and independent thinking Operations / Reservoir Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will oversee reservoir performance, guide field operations, and drive production optimization across our portfolio of wells on the Eastern Shelf near Abilene, Texas. Key Responsibilities Lead and organize field teams to maximize operational efficiency and proactive planning. Prepare and furnish well schematics for workovers, well repairs, and completions. Implement and manage a fluid level monitoring program; coordinate well tests on a consistent, scheduled basis. Deliver timely daily operational data to field supervisors to support well repair and maintenance activities. Monitor daily production and injection well volumes, identifying and implementing opportunities to increase output. Develop and recommend solutions to ensure ongoing well maintenance and sustained production performance. Manage and control expenses related to low-volume wells, waterflood operations, casing leak repairs, and facility construction. Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards. Analyze chemical costs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend corrective solutions. Qualifications Required 10-15 years of experience in oil and gas operations or reservoir engineering. Strong log reading skills and ability to interpret subsurface data. Thorough knowledge of drilling and completion operations from planning through execution. Experience with well service repair and maintenance operations. Familiarity with oilfield facility design and operations. Knowledge of waterflood operations and associated facilities. Completion experience including acid treatments and hydraulic fracturing. Understanding of chemical applications and monitoring practices. Proficiency in relevant computer applications and production tracking software.
PHP / WINN
& Petra computer program experience a plus. Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in the field. Location Requirement Candidates must reside in or be willing to reliably commute to or relocate to the Abilene, TX area prior to the start date.
