Job Description

The Gas Turbine SCR Engineer - Technical Expert (GPS) is familiar with SCR system design principles, with experience in gas turbine Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) process / equipment design and understanding of skid-mounted system integration. Able to layout SCR system monitoring points and sampling scheme design to meet EPA testing requirements and to optimize SCR process parameters and equipment selection based on U.S. operating conditions, balancing denitrification efficiency, ammonia slip and operating costs. The engineer will collaborate with domestic design, production and supply chain teams to drive project implementation.​
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth interpretation of U.S. SCR-related emission standards for gas turbines, clarifying pollutant emission limits such as NOₓ/CO/ammonia slip, the 15% O₂ conversion rule, and metering requirements for dry basis/wet basis Familiar with U.S. EPA-recognized pollutant testing methods and guide the layout of monitoring points for SCR systems, the design of sampling schemes, and the selection of testing equipment Track updates to U.S. environmental protection policies, forecast the impact of regulatory changes on SCR products, and formulate response plans Provide guidance on the process and equipment design of SCR systems tailored to the operating conditions of U.S. gas turbines, ensuring compliance with the performance, safety, and environmental requirements of the U.S. market Focus on controlling key links such as reactor flow field design, ammonia injection grid layout, catalyst selection, and ammonia zone safety design, to mitigate design risks including excessively high ammonia slip, excessive flow resistance, and catalyst deactivation Collaborate with domestic design teams to integrate U.S. standards into the design of SCR skid-mounted systems, ensuring that products can be directly adapted to on-site installation in the U.S. Guide the manufacturing and assembly of SCR systems in Chinese factories to ensure compliance with U.S. engineering manufacturing standards, and issue production quality reports recognized by U.S. customers Formulate on-site installation specifications and procedures for the U.S. market and guide installation teams to complete the docking of SCR systems with gas turbines, flue gas connection, and electrical/instrumentation installation to ensure installation safety and quality. Serve as the technical interface person for the U.S. market, conduct technical communication with U.S. customers, environmental protection departments, etc., and answer compliance and engineering questions Assist in preparing technical documents, certification materials, and inspection reports required for the U.S. market, ensuring that the documents meet U.S. audit requirements Participate in U.S. project bidding, provide technical schemes and compliance statements, and improve the bid winning rate Screen high-quality suppliers worldwide (including the U.S., Europe, Japan, South Korea, etc.), conduct supplier qualification reviews, product compliance verification, technical capability assessment, and delivery capability investigation, and form a supplier evaluation report Collaborate with the company's supply chain support team to establish and maintain an international qualified supplier database for SCR projects, and clarify the grade, cooperation scope, and compliance requirements of suppliers in various categories Conduct technical coordination with international qualified suppliers to confirm details such as product technical parameters, certification documents, and after-sales support, ensuring that core components are adapted to the production of domestic skid-mounted SCR systems and meet the on-site installation, operation, and inspection requirements of the U.S. Track the product compliance status, certification updates, and production capacity changes of international suppliers, timely mitigate supply chain compliance and delivery risks, and provide technical support for supply chain cost optimization and the formulation of alternative schemes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering, or closely related discipline.​ 3 years of gas turbine SCR engineering experience 2 years of hands-on experience on U.S. market SCR projects Knowledge of U.S. engineering codes and standards including
ASME / API
/ NFPA, and familiar with SCR system installation, commissioning and acceptance procedures Strong compliance risk awareness, able to proactively identify and avoid compliance risks related to environmental protection, safety and trade in the U.S. market Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions for customers and internal stakeholders. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites, vendors, and company locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or MBA with a focus on energy, operations, or technology management.​ Knowledge of emissions regulations, interconnection standards, and grid support requirements for distributed generation.​ Certification or formal training in project management, reliability engineering, or product management frameworks.
