Job Summary
TRAVEL POSITION-INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
conveyance and handling systems: We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Industrial Robotics and Electrical Travel Technician to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial systems and electrical components across multiple customer sites (Field Service). Your expertise will ensure seamless automation operations, optimize system performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers travel opportunities to work on diverse projects, providing hands-on experience with robotics and electrical systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Install, configure, and commission industrial robotic systems, including those utilizing robotics platforms and other leading automation technologies. Troubleshoot and repair PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, related industrial electrical and robotics controls to minimize downtime. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Fully versed in electrical code including California requirements. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures using advanced troubleshooting techniques to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with engineering teams on lean manufacturing initiatives, tooling improvements, machining processes, and vision inspection system integration. Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting procedures for compliance and future reference. Skills Proficiency with robotics and controls Solid knowledge of industrial electrical systems—including wiring practices, schematic reading/interpretation, industrial controls, PLC troubleshooting (including installation and repair), and electrical schematic interpretation. Hands-on experience with PLC's and industrial automation systems. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tooling, machining processes, blueprint reading. Ability to perform engineering troubleshooting on complex equipment while maintaining safety standards; excellent root cause analysis skills are essential.
