Position Overview A highly automated manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced ABB Robotics Support Engineer to troubleshoot, program, and support robotic production systems. This role requires deep hands-on knowledge of ABB robotics, RobotStudio, robotic programming, PLC-integrated automation cells, and advanced root-cause troubleshooting . What You'll Do Program and support ABB industrial robots using ABB RobotStudio . Troubleshoot robotic automation cells and production systems. Diagnose robot, PLC, controls, and integration-related issues. Troubleshoot communication and interaction between robots and PLC-controlled equipment. Identify root causes of recurring robotic system failures. Develop and implement corrective actions. Support production during complex equipment breakdowns. Troubleshoot robotic sequences and automation-cell performance. Work with Controls, Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams. Support continuous improvement and system reliability initiatives. Required Experience Strong proficiency with ABB RobotStudio . Hands-on ABB robot programming experience. Experience troubleshooting robotic and PLC-controlled automation cells. Deep understanding of robot-to-PLC communication and integration . Ability to diagnose complex production issues across robotics and automation systems. Strong root-cause analysis and troubleshooting skills. Experience implementing corrective actions for robotic system failures. Ability to independently support production-critical automation issues. What We're Looking For The strongest candidate will be more than a robot operator or basic technician. We're looking for someone who can independently diagnose robot, PLC, and automation-cell interactions , determine the true cause of production problems, and implement reliable technical solutions.
