In collaboration with the Advanced Technology team and under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you will explore and implement transformative technology solutions for automotive production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and activate AI-enhanced robotic systems to push the boundaries of manufacturing efficiency and agility.
- Develop applications in computer vision, machine learning, and sensor integration to tackle real-world challenges in tasks like object recognition, material handling, and quality inspection.
- Optimize AI algorithms for consistency and peak performance on industrial-grade hardware, balancing efficiency, dependability, and processing needs.
- Transform AI methodologies from Python environments to standardized industrial automation systems.
- Apply simulation tools such as Isaac Sim or MuJoCo to facilitate proof-of-concept testing, data synthesis, and deployment of simulation-to-reality solutions.
- Direct and contribute to equipment testing, troubleshooting, and validation from initial concept to production scaling.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate AI into manufacturing workflows.
- Explore and integrate cutting-edge Physical AI developments through competitive analysis, supplier collaboration, and industry networking.
- Guarantee that all implementations adhere to safety standards and reliability metrics.
- Communicate technological insights and strategic recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior management.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical discipline; equivalent work experience also considered.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing automation systems.
- Expertise in robotics, AI and machine learning, or complex automated solutions.
- Ability to integrate full-stack solutions within collaborative teams.
- Strong skills in at least two areas including computer vision, machine learning, or robotics.
- Proficient in Python, C++, and ROS, with a solid foundation in software engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of various sensors (e.g., RGBD cameras, LiDAR) and their calibration for optimal performance.
