- Integrate and program multi-axis robotic arms for lab automation, including PF400 and other platforms as required
- Design motion sequences that work in production, such as collision avoidance, path planning, and speed versus precision tradeoffs
- Debug robotic failures, including calibration drift, repeatability issues, mechanical wear, and software timing problems
- Evaluate and deploy new robotic solutions quickly and advance the right arm for unique problems when needed
- Work across the stack from low-level motion control to high-level orchestration with other lab equipment
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
U.S. Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Experience:
4 years of professional experience as an Automation Engineer, Robotics Engineer, or similar role. Experience must include 4 years with each of the following:
- Programming and debugging multi-axis robotic arms
- Motion planning and coordinate transforms
- Programming motion control code and automation systems integration using Python and C/C#
- Programming and integrating multi-axis systems, including SCARA, 6-axis, and/or collaborative robots
- Python for orchestration
- Communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, and/or serial)
- Reviewing drawings to understand and diagnose mechanical failures
