About STEM Space STEM Space is a Maryland nonprofit focused on hands-on STEM and technology education through robotics, engineering, maker activities, coding, design, and project-based learning. Our programs help students develop creativity, confidence, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving skills through engaging, project-based experiences. Position Overview STEM Space is seeking a Robotics & Engineering Instructor to lead a weekly after-school STEM program for students in Severna Park. The instructor will serve as the primary onsite leader, facilitating engaging, hands-on activities that introduce students to robotics, engineering, coding, design, and technology through project-based learning. The Robotics & Engineering Instructor is responsible for the overall delivery of the program, including leading weekly meetings, mentoring students, coordinating assisting volunteers, communicating with STEM Space leadership, and ensuring a positive, safe, and productive learning environment. This position requires an individual who is comfortable taking ownership of a program, leading a small team, and serving as the primary point of contact during scheduled program meetings. This position is ideal for college students, educators, engineering students, STEM professionals, FIRST alumni, and anyone interested in youth mentorship, leadership, and STEM education. Responsibilities Serve as the primary instructor and onsite lead for the weekly STEM program Lead engaging, hands-on robotics, engineering, coding, and maker activities Guide students through engineering design challenges, robotics projects, programming activities, and creative problem-solving experiences Foster teamwork, creativity, curiosity, and a positive learning environment Coordinate and direct assisting volunteers during program meetings Communicate regularly with STEM Space leadership regarding program progress, needs, and concerns Serve as a representative of STEM Space when interacting with students, parents, volunteers, community members, and partner organizations Assist with program setup, organization, materials management, and operational needs Ensure program activities are conducted safely and professionally Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the program throughout the season Preferred Qualifications Experience with robotics, engineering, programming, maker education, or STEM-related activities Experience with

FIRST LEGO
