As our new Robotic Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for robotic and system simulation services to the Process Engineering group.

We need a strategic, problem-solving professional who is customer-focused, results-oriented, and experienced in partnering with internal teams and customers to deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations. You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining robotic simulations using software like ROBOGUIDE, Process Simulate, and Emulate3D. You'll take part in proposal and design reviews, project meetings while supporting integration and hardware builds where you will collaborate with various engineering teams. Are you ready? How It's Done Ensure proposed solutions meet required capacity parameters, including throughput, jobs per hour (JPH), cycle time, and annual capacity

Ensure all reliability and maintainability data, including mean time to repair (MTTR), and mean time between failures (MTBF), reject rate, and availability, is accurately captured and used in throughput simulations

Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to right-size the capacity of an operation

Set up and document all aspects of the workcell simulation, including cycle time, robot data sheets, DCS sheets, simulation videos, payload sheets, and related deliverables

Configure, emulate, troubleshoot, and validate PLC logic, automation hardware, safety interlocks, and system communications using electrical and control system documentation to support virtual commissioning

Configure and integrate hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) control systems with virtual commissioning platforms, robotic simulations, and industrial networks using protocols such as Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and OPC UA

Perform electrical controls testing, signal verification, and root-cause analysis within the virtual environment, providing technical feedback and design recommendations to controls, electrical, and project engineering teams prior to system deployment What You Need Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience

Exposure to and basic understanding of PLCs and other controls hardware (i.e. HMIs, safety devices, sensors)

Proficiency in industry-standard simulation software (i.e. Siemens Process Simulate or Plant Simulate, Rockwell Automation Emulate3D, FANUC

ROBOGUIDE

)

Experience deploying cells while connecting PLCs, HMIs, and robot controllers virtually and validating sequence logic and error recovery

Exposure setting up AMRs simulation paths specific to the automotive industry

Demonstrated knowledge of safety standards (i.e.

ANSI/RIA R15.06-2012, ISO 10218-1

) and robotic system safety/risk assessment What Would Be Even Better Master's degree in a related field

6+ years of experience in process/systems engineering

6+ years of work experience in robotic simulation using one or more of the software tools listed above It's Your Move
