Job Description

Responsible for the design, analysis, programming, and administration of mechatronic and electronic instrumentation, along with automation systems, utilizing multi-platform PLCs, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, LS, and Toyopuc, as well as configuring HMI interfaces and ANDON systems to optimize production control; program industrial robotics including Fanuc, KUKA, Hyundai, and Yaskawa, and collaborative robots including Universal Robots, for welding, assembly, and automated material handling applications; support the integration of vision systems and industrial networks including Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Serial, and FL-net, to ensure communication and production traceability; evaluate and optimize electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; collaborate closely with production engineering to define technical specifications; perform diagnostic and troubleshooting of automated control equipment to implement countermeasures and minimize downtime; utilize and apply knowledge of PC-Win, Studio 5000, Sysmac Studio, Pro-face, Toyopuc, Keyence IV, Cognex DataMan systems, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Yaskawa robots, Hyundai robots, and Universal Robots to perform assigned duties; develop and deploy new automation systems for engineering system controls; and develop training material and documentation for long-term maintainability.
Location:
Troy, Michigan and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US;
Salary:
$94,993 per year (Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), STD/LTD, life insurance, and EAP)
Education:
Bachelors - Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Training:
None Experience:
Two (2) years in the position above, as an Automation and Maintenance Engineer, as an Instrumentation Engineer, as an Automation Engineer, or in a related occupation.
