Job Description
Summary Dogwood Robotics is a Phoenix-based robotics integrator. We deploy and service commercial cleaning robots, autonomous floor scrubbers and vacuums, for hotels, offices, commercial facilities, and data centers across the Valley.
We handle the full job:
assess the site, deploy the robot, and maintain it. Cleaning is our focus today, and as a growing integrator we expect to add other robot types over time. The role This is a part-time, project-based contract role (1099), not full-time. You take the deployments and service visits that fit your schedule, so it works well as side income alongside a day job, or as a way into a new field. We call you when a job lands, you complete it, and you invoice for the work. Contract to start, with a path to a permanent position. What you would do Set up and stage cleaning robots at customer sites Map spaces and configure cleaning routes, following the manufacturer manuals and our procedures Run functional tests and basic troubleshooting to confirm each unit works before you leave Support on-site staff training and hand-off Document each deployment (steps, settings, and any issues/resolutions) so the next job goes faster and smoother Handle routine service visits, and swap consumables like pads, brushes, and squeegees as directed What we look for Hands-on and comfortable with everyday tech and common hand tools Follows written instructions and checklists carefully Dependable and punctual on scheduled visits (we work tight customer windows) Comfortable talking with customer staff on site and representing us well No prior robotics experience required. We train you on the platform. Helpful, not required Experience running floor-care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers, or a background in janitorial or building services, looking to move into a technology-forward role Background in field service, low-voltage, AV, IT, HVAC, or facilities Customer-facing or hands-on technical experience Physical and schedule requirements Lift supply cases and light equipment up to 40 lbs on occasion Able to stand or walk for extended periods Load, transport, and set up equipment at customer sites Valid, clean U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation to sites across the Phoenix metro Willing to work flexible windows, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends (many deployments run during low-traffic hours) Able to pass a background check (our customers require it for site access) Who should apply We welcome hardworking people of any background. If you have run floor-care machines in janitorial or facilities work and want to move into robotics, this is a strong next step. Veterans and trade-school or community-college grads are encouraged to apply. Must be 18 or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S. We do not provide visa sponsorship.Pay:
